Londoners

‘Londoners’ is a portrait project carried out over three years on the streets of London by photographer Alex Amorós.

After some time observing people, so diverse and lacking communication amongst them in this city, he decided to stop people and take their portraits. Alex wanted to break past those boundaries and show their humanity, so he made the decision to enter into relationships with strangers on the streets. The resulting portraits of the project resulted in his debut book Londoners which is now part of the Martin Parr Foundation and The Photographers Gallery, London.
